Welcome to Clarence High School for Girls and Boys

Clarence High School provides both residential and day placements in a therapeutic setting for girls and boys aged 9-19 years old, with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties and who may also experience associated difficulties, including those on the autistic spectrum.

The school has extensive grounds and is set in tranquil Freshfield, Formby, close to areas of natural beauty and conservation. Liverpool, Manchester and Preston are within easy travelling distance enabling pupils to access a wide range of cultural experiences that vibrant city life can offer.
 
The school has superb teaching and residential facilities. Outdoor areas include full-size football pitches, all-weather basketball court and a Sports Centre with multi-gym. Within the school we have extensive specialist facilities including a Design & Technology Workshop, Theatre and Drama Suite and a Beauty Salon.
 
Residential accommodation is spacious and comfortable and set in a tranquil area adjacent to the school. Clarence High is also registered as a Children's Home and can provide 52 week placements across the 9 to 19 age range.
 
Clarence High School is part of Nugent Care, a voluntary organisation that has been supporting adults, children and communities since 1881.

    Comic Relief helps to raise awareness and funds for projects in the poorer parts of the world as well as projects in the UK and since 1988 it has had the nation in red nose frenzy each and every March.
